Upcoming 'ukulele workshops and performance

Hawaiian Treasures is a concert happening on Friday, March 20 at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music featuring three heavy hitters in Hawaiian music: George Kahumoku, Dennis Kamakahi & Richard Ho'opi'i. The show itself happens at 8:30 PM, but there are 4 separate workshops happening at 5:30, just before the show, taught by the performers. The workshops are: Hula Auana; Hawaiian slack key guitar; 'ukulele strumming and Hawaiian falsetto; and slack key 'ukulele. If you're in the Chicago area this would be an excellent time to pick up some lessons from experienced Hawaiian musicians, as well as see an evening of great music.
